As church leaders, we know the verse in 2 Corinthians 12:9 — ‘But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
We have learned, lived, preached and taught about it many times over. We have accomplished great things and we have also experienced crushing moments in the course of our ministry.
Today, we are here to serve and continue to be used by God and especially so, through the current circumstances. We are reminded that our weaknesses serves as a reminder of our need of God’s grace. A custom made grace designed for us, that infuses hope and strength for us to lead our churches with the promise of God’s goodness and His sufficiency. The grace of Jesus Christ is sufficient and He is enough for us and our families.
Let us not fall into the trap of comparison, because each one of us are given sufficient grace for our ministry. We are not given strength to run another persons race but to stay in our lane and run according to our God given call. Sufficient means #adequate for the purpose” and our loving Father knows the right amount of grace needed for you as you lead your church.
In this season of prayer through this Merdeka season, it is our prayer at ECCM that you will find fresh encouragement from God’s word as we serve in HIS KINGDOM together.
